Watch the video: Mindful Reset: Moments of Awe
As a dad and grandpa, I've had many opportunities to teach kiddos how to ride a bike. When you take the training wheels off and get them started, maybe you ride alongside them, coaching them, holding on the seat. Then there's a moment of greatness, when the child looks over their shoulder and says, “Wow!”
Balance occurs and they delight in noticing a mind, body, spirit connection like no other. Awe grabs us. The magnificence of something much bigger than us is taking place and we're transformed by the moment.
In nature, maybe it’s the simple landing of a butterfly. Regarding humanity, it could be watching an athlete drain a three-point shot at the buzzer.
We delight in the moments of awe happening all around us. When we pause to notice, we can breathe into it. We can show gratitude. And sometimes, we can recount the story and tell others of those awe experiences in which we’re transformed.
Have a great day.
