Youth Summer Program: Farm Friends Open House

Center for Healthy Living, Community Greenhouse & Learning Kitchen

Farm Friends is a hands-on farm-to-fork program series for students entering sixth through ninth grade in the 2026-2027 school year. Sessions will be held on June 3, June 17, July 8, and July 22 from noon – 2 p.m.

Through their participation, students will:

  • Learn more about where food comes from
  • Build basic cooking skills
  • Explore how plant-forward eating and farming support long-term health
  • Spend time learning in both the garden and the kitchen

The Farm Friends Open House is designed to help families learn more about the program. During the open house, attendees will:

  • Receive an overview of the four-session series
  • Meet the Farm Friends team
  • Sample recipes from the program
  • Tour the Parkview Community Greenhouse & Learning Kitchen

Open house attendance is recommended for those interested in Farm Friends. If you are unable to attend the open house but would like to sign up for the program, please call the registration number below.
